How Fast Do You Usually Reach A New Lead? Be Honest.
Pick the answer that's true on a normal Tuesday when you're on a job. The calculator applies the published odds ratios from the research to your own close rate — and shows you the jobs and revenue walking out the door.
How The Math Works
The studies report odds ratios: how much your odds of qualifying a lead fall as response time grows. We take your close rate when you're first, convert it to odds, divide by the published ratio for your response time, and convert back. The gap between the two, times your leads per month, is jobs lost. Times your average job value, it's revenue lost.
- 5 → 10 minutes: qualifying odds fall 4× (MIT/InsideSales, 2007)
- 5 → 30 minutes: contact odds fall 100×, qualifying odds 21× (MIT/InsideSales, 2007)
- Within the hour vs. an hour later: ~7×; vs. 24+ hours: 60× (HBR, 2011)
- Within 1 minute: conversion lifted 391% (Velocify)
Your close rate is your input. This is an illustrative model, not a forecast — but the direction isn't in doubt. Full sources on the statistics page.
